Nana's History

Nana’s Frozen Custard was founded by Chattanooga (Hixson) Businessmen Jay Simpson and Steve Michael in 2004.

Jay’s Grandmother “Nana” was a retailer of frozen custard in the 1950’s and her recipes were used for the base custard.

Steve’s wife Rebecca served as the first “Nanager” for the first three years of operation.

The business was acquired by Duane and Patricia Olcsvary in February, 2008.

Monica Olcsvary was the first employee hired by the founders, and now serves as Nanager.

We remain committed to carrying on the legacy of Nana’s greatness created by the founders.
